We are currently looking at adopting a mini bulldog. We hope to find her/him soon. In the meantime we want to come out to the walk to meet other bully owners and get a feel over having one in the family!!

We took our dog Chloe to Dr Forbes at Mill Bay, she is wonderful.. We found the drive too much so we now take her to Lakehill Vet Clinic. Both of the vets there are very familiar with bulldogs and have a very lovely, gentle way of dealing with Chloe. I would highly recommend them.....

We take our dog to K9HQ for doggie day care once in a while. Deborah who owns the day care is amazing and is very good at training dogs. Our bullie is a much better boy at listening now. Her website is www.k9hq.ca They have a web cam so you can keep an eye on your dog while at work if you have a computer handy!

y boyfriend really wants a bulldog, does anyone know where we can get one, we always look at the spca and never seem to have much luck there. we aren't really picky about the age, but we do want one on the younger side so we don't have to say goodbye to soon. in the meantime we will keep searching, looking one the net, at the spca in the paper. thanks

Please don't go to Golden Ponds Kennel in Cowichan. We got our bulldog there and we didn't know it at the time, but I think the owner is running a puppy mill. We love our dog, but he has been very sick and had to get lots of surgeries.

Just found this website & delighted to read everything. "Tug" has moved in with me about 3 wks. ago as a rescue from a puppy mill. I got him from a young couple in Nanaimo who originally found him in Duncan. Poor Tug has had a couple of moves. He settled in so well as he is always surprising me with his antics. Boy is he stubborn though. Have RX drops for his eyes & I nearly have to put him in a full wrestle hold to get them in, or he hides behind a kitchen chair. tug is 6yrs. old. I am going to try and get to the next walk in Victoria, but I live at the oposite of the Island.

THANK YOU MELANIE for all the hard work you do for getting us altogether for the Bulldog Walk. Were we not lucky to have such a great weather & a fabulous location on May 3rd! Our Dollie had a ball running around meeting everyone - she slept all the way home. Looking forward to the next one.

Well, it's a boy..Our puppy John Wayne was born March 15th in Duncan. The parents Daisy and Jak are participants in the bulldog walk and this year we will be there with them. We don't get our puppy until the end of May, however we are and have been preparing for a long time. See you all in July, I will be the one with the huge smile (oh yeah, all bulldog owners look alike me thinks)

My name is John Wayne and you can see my picture in the Puppies attending the Bulldog Walk July 25th. I am so happy to see someone (Melanie) loves us "bullies" so much she is willing to do so much to organize a fun time for us. It is people like Melanie who deserve great big bulldog kisses from the likes of me. My Mom thinks Melanie is wonderful and cannot wait to Thank her in person for being such a kind, and wonderful pet owner. See you all at "The bulldog walk"

Today as a family we attended our first Bulldog walk. I know John Wayne had the time of his life. He introduced himself to as many of the other bulldogs as possible. He played, drank water, went for a swim, and played some more. He needed a bath when he got home, but went straight to sleep right after. He did not even eat dinner. Thank you Melanie for putting on such a great event. It was so great meeting other bulldogs and their owners. All the dogs were so beautiful and they certainly come in all shapes and sizes. I cannot wait for the next one, and if I can help in any way at all please contact me. Once again, Thanks from our family for a great day at the Park. Wendy, Ron & John Wayne

Melanie, Thank you so much for posting such wonderful pictures of the Bulldog walk July 2010. I could never imagine so many bulldogs in one place, so many shapes and sizes! We look forward to the next one. John Wayne had so much fun, and he slept really good for the rest of the day. He loves to play and I am so pleases at his social skills. Thanks again for the great event and pictures.

Last year, was my first ever bulldog walk. I cannot wait to attend this years. I met some great bulldogs, and have play dates with Newman and Berger quite often. Everyone here knows that Bulldogs are different from other Breeds and our "parents" think we are the best. I also have friends that are not English or French and they are just as much fun! See everyone at the Walk May 29th rain or shine (hopefully shine)
